One in a new series of paintings exploring time and place, formed from memories acquired and imagined. As time has slowed and quickened at the same time these days, I was inspired to work quickly and immediately with stories that are from my past. These are the visuals of some long ago snapshots that have recently surfaced.

This work is inspired by the late and last light of a cold winter's day, when one final tobaggan run was needed, even though all fingers and toes were close to frostbite. Some of the strongest memories of my childhood in Canada occured in this magical, yet harsh season.
