One in a new series of paintings exploring time and place, formed from memories acquired and imagined. As time has slowed and quickened at the same time these days, I was inspired to work quickly and immediately with stories that are from my past. These are the visuals of some long ago snapshots that have recently surfaced.
This work is inspired by that early evening light of a cold winter's day. The most meloncholic time of the day. This scene is enroute through the Haast Pass in the stunning South Island, NZ
