From a series of landscapes paintings inspired by memories real and imagined. Inspired by the places that hold special meaning to me here in New Zealand, and back in Canada where I once lived.
 
This work is inspired by the late and last light of a cold winter's day, when one final run down the hill was needed, even though all fingers and toes were close to frostbite. Some of the fondest memories of my childhood in Canada occured in this magical, yet harsh season.
